5 Website Numbers You Should be Tracking

Start a Website Performance Dashboard

We will need to keep a close eye on our websites. The shift to more business activities completed online is not going away. Make a New Year’s Resolution to check your website statistics.

But our problem is not lack of data. More like too much data and it is overwhelming. What does it all mean? Is your website doing well or are you in trouble?

What we need is one place to look at our website status and to decide what to improve. Pick a number that means something to your business.

Our January webinar will highlight 5 statistics. 5 numbers that focus on the performance of your website. We will setup a dashboard and learn how automate the tracking on a monthly basis.

Introduction- How to Create a Simple Dashboard:

The reason why folks are so unsure about their website performance has nothing to do with lack of data. Instead I think you look at your website reports and you’re not sure if it means.

Our goal with this broadcast is to talk you through this process of setting up a dashboard. It doesn’t have to look like something that came out of NASA. A very simple report that’s going to highlight five key items that you’re going to look at every month. To help decide what actions need to be taken on your website.

I want to focus on areas that can really make an impact. Decrease the noise and get into the key areas for your business and website. I will show you the process we went through to define this for our website. That’s why I came up with these five different areas.

Truthfully there are at least 20 or so numbers, in each of these areas, you could track. That would define as your traffic doing well as your content doing well. What I set out to do is to find the one number in each area that I could look at to tell me how well I am doing at a glance. That would say, “hey our website is doing well. And also meaningful to our business.
