It’s that time of year for strategic planning. Or is there ever not a time for strategic planning. For us the end of year can either be crazy busy or a slow side into the new year. No in-between and no predicting it. When things get busy a Website Strategic Plan for 2026 sometimes has to wait for 2026. If you want to be sitting here in December next year feeling like you accomplished something. You need a plan. Here are some resources to help you get started.
Why I Like a Website Strategic Plan
- As a webmaster, it helps to know where your priorities are. Your plan defines for us what we work on first and where the most billable time should be used.
- When other problems or ideas come up during the year, its good to have a plan to refer to. Instead of fire-fighting in the moment, you can look at what is happening now, compared to your plan. Then decide what gets attention next.
- Prevents you from chasing the trends. The world of websites changes all the time. There is always a new thing. A new crisis. A new trick that will give you your next big advantage. They are trends and not always best practices. If you have a website plan in place you will be less tempted to chase the next shiny toy. Instead you will finish goals set for your website to improve your business.

Website user experience will become a competitive advantage. The better experience a visitor has on your site, the more likely they are to return. This means a Web Accessibility Review is a strategic business move.
Here is how our Web Accessibility Services work:
- Everyone starts with the Review. This is a fixed-bid project based on the size of your website. It includes the initial assessment and the compliance review after the website is updated. The Review is not included in our Maintenance Plans.
- Based on the results of the Review, Cybervise can do the work to remediate the site of compliance issues. Cybervise clients can use their plan hours for remediation. Otherwise we can provide a quote on what it would take to clean up the site.
- If your site changes on a frequent basis or your industry requires a high level of compliance.
